We have always worked for the common good<\/strong> and the development of the territory<\/strong>, in over 30 years of philanthropic activity<\/strong> and in the wake of the tradition that traces the Foundation back to the birth of the Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna, back in 1837.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Renewing our original mission<\/strong> to make it even closer to the challenges of our time<\/strong>, adopting the most modern tools of institutional philanthropy, we have oriented our strategic plans to the action programme of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are committed to actively promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong>, which provide a rigorous and internationally agreed methodological framework, focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals that are most recurrent in the projects we support while caring for the community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Our commitment to the common good continues to focus on 3 major transversal and interconnected areas<\/strong>, articulated in 6 operational missions<\/strong>, interpreting the 2030 Agenda Goals as a guide to building a more equitable and sustainable future, putting the well-being of people and the protection of the environment at the centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We work to combat poverty and social inequality<\/strong> through assistance and inclusion programmes targeting the most vulnerable people. This commitment translates into supporting initiatives that provide essential services such as access to basic goods, housing and healthcare<\/strong> for low-income families and disadvantaged groups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n We promote social inclusion<\/strong> at every level, regardless of age, gender, different abilities or economic conditions. The projects we support promote access to essential resources and services<\/strong> for all, especially the most vulnerable segments of the population, and focus on welfare and assistance interventions<\/strong> contributing to building a more equitable and inclusive society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We believe in art as a common good. We promote accessibility to culture for all, in the protection and enhancement of the historical and artistic heritage of the city of Bologna<\/strong>, supporting the creation of new cultural routes<\/strong> to attract new audiences<\/strong> and encouraging the creation of specific tourism promotion programmes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n We facilitate encounters between different realities and encourage their cooperation, stimulating the pluralism of artistic expressions<\/strong> and the liveliness of cultural offerings<\/strong>, languages, and modes of communication with particular regard to the visual arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Through funding schools, universities and training programmes, we aim to innovate times, processes, methods and spaces of education<\/strong> for the improvement of the quality of educational provision, encouraging inclusive and quality education<\/strong> for youth growth and ensuring that access to education is equitable and free of socio-economic barriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n By supporting professional development <\/strong>projects, we stimulate interdisciplinarity<\/strong> and interaction with the world of work to foster the creation of decent and inclusive work<\/strong>, both by accommodating people in difficulty and disadvantaged groups<\/strong>, and by reducing unemployment, especially among young people<\/strong> who are neither employed nor in education or training. <\/p>\n\n\n\n We contribute to the development of technological innovation and the competitiveness of research centres, working in the fields of welfare<\/strong>, ecological transition<\/strong> and health protection<\/strong> by supporting sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives<\/strong>.
